Buffy Summers, the Chosen One, once the only Slayer in the world yet no more
since Willow's spell. Without it they surely would have all had perished in
the depths of the hell they had fought in. It had been a hard battle,
Slayer's under her and Faith's command had fought well but had also fallen
quickly fighting the ubervamps. Buffy had fought with all the strength and
power she had inside of her, even wounded she wouldn't give up, wouldn't
listen to the taunting of The First, she had to remain strong and continue
the fight or else Hell itself would be unleashed unto the entire world and
millions would die a horrible death.

The fighting raged on until the Hellmouth began to quake beneath them.
Slayers began to rush out of the Hellmouth in hopes of saving themselves. As
Buffy turned to tell them to hold their ground she locked eyes upon Spike.
The bleached blonde vampire had a bright light shooting up from him. Now she
understood why the Slayers were retreating back to the safety of the
outside.

"Fall back !" She yelled out to the remaining Slayer's that had stayed
loyally behind to help her. They listened to her words and ran out of there
and to the school's hallways up above.

Buffy slayed one more ubervamp before rushing over to Spike. She didn't
quite know what was happening to him, but by what Angel had told her, the
amulet Spike was wearing was granting him great power to help defeat The
First and the hell it planned to bring to the world. It seemed all this time
fighting The First, Spike was the Champion they needed to end all of this.

She laced her fingers through Spike's and with a tender look she told him
she loved him. Of course Spike replied with a soft smile by saying that he
knows she doesn't love him but still he appreciated the gesture. She
continued to hold onto his hand though it began to burn. But soon it became
too much for the Slayer and she pulled back. With one last final look at
Spike, Buffy turned and raced out of the school.

As she ran through the hallways, the school began to crumble and explode and
all she could think of was if her friends and loved ones had made it out
alive or not. God she prayed they were safe, she silently reassured herself
that they all would have watched over one another and made sure they all
made it out of their safely. Or so she hoped. But deep down in the pit of
her stomach she knew that not all was well.

Buffy quickly pushed those kind of thoughts from her mind. This wasn't the
time or place to be thinking such things, she had to concentrate on getting
the hell out of there before she was buried along with the school.
Her entire body hurt, her muscles ached and the wound in her back still bled
from where the ubervamp had stabbed her with a sword. All she wanted to do
was rest, she was so tired, so very tired, but she couldn't give up now, not
after everything they had been through and everything that had happened from
the day she had arrived in Sunnydale. With all the strength and might she
had left inside of her, Buffy ran as fast and hard as her body would allow
her to.

The school collapsed around and beneath her, unable to find an exit out to
the front doors of the school she climbed the stairs to the roof of the
school building. Kicking the door open and reaching the outside and seeing
the sun shining bright almost brought a smile to the slayers face but it
wasn't over yet. Her eyes quickly glanced down below to see the bus had
already left without her. Turning and looking at the school and watching it
as it began disappeared into a large hole in the ground, Buffy knew she had
no other choice but to keep running. Jumping across to another near by
building she raced ahead of the destruction as the town soon began to follow
in being destroyed. Upon seeing the familiar yellow bus below her, Buffy
jumped across each building gaining speed then with one mighty leapt into
the air she landed down hard on top of the moving bus.Holding on tight she
laid down on the roof and continued to hold on as the bus speed ahead of the
destruction and to safety.

Buffy couldn't believe that this was the end of Sunnydale and all the evil
that resided with in it. The home she had shared with her mother and sister
and her friends, all the precious memories they had experienced as well as
all the bad memories they had shared together. Not to mention Spike, the man
she had shared so much with these last few years, Buffy had not wanted to
leave him there all alone but she didn't have any choice, he had been chosen
to destroy the darkness and end it all finally. Silently she prayed that he
would survive for deep down in her heart she truly did love him, at first
she had thought the words she had spoken were just words and nothing more
but now as she saw Sunnydale being destroyed an knowing the bleached blonde
vampire had been left behind, she knew she really did love him.

Closing her eyes tightly to stop the tears from falling she gripped onto the
edge of the roof of the bus and waited for it all to stop.

Buffy Summers was once again late for school. She never meant to be late on purpose but with slaying all night long she hardly had time to study for exams plus get some much deserved sleep. And who ever said saving the world was easy ? After receiving a lengthy lecture from her mother on the drive over she begrudgingly got out of the car and walked into Sunnydale High school. A few students were scattered in the large hallways, though most students had already made their way to their first classes for that morning. Deciding she would catch up with her good friends, Willow and Xander later she made her way to library ready to give Giles her nightly report of slaying, plus it was a good excuse to not have to attend her history class.

Brushing a hand through her mid-length blonde hair, wincing a little from the small cut on her forehead she had received the previous night from a feisty vampire she walked coolly into the school library to find Giles no where in sight. *Typical* thought Buffy as she placed her bag on the counter and went into Giles office to see if he had even arrived yet.

Busy snooping through her Watchers things behind the counter she heard a very English voice call out Giles's name. Poking her head up she saw a young man standing there looking very out of place. "He isn't here." She told him as she stood and leaned on the counter watching him and wondering what he wanted with her Giles. "Maybe I can help ? I'm Buffy and you are ?" She asked having a sneaking suspicion that the Watchers Council had sent another stuck up Watcher to take care of Faith not that she needed one as Giles was doing a good enough job training and caring for the both of them.
